This book is over 70 years old, it belonged to my mother and is a guide to the British countryside and rural life - 'The Countryside Companion'
It's also become an historical document, describing in great detail a Britain that has vanished forever. A Britian before World War Two, before uncontrolled immigration, before family breakdown, before child murderers aged 8 years old, before the mass drunkeness, alien ghetto culture, horrifying violence, perverted pseudo 'music', crass television game shows, selfishness, greed, cruelty and bogus compassion that has overwhelmed this country in recent years and turned into an open sewer filled with filth, perversion and unending corruption.
They were fortunate to live in the times of this book! - financially poor?, yes - but in reality, richer than we will ever know.
